Born to Yodel
David Bradley is a cowboy from the West Texas town of Muleshoe. His first love is Western music. David started his musical background at the early age of five. He was influenced by his father, a world champion yodeler, who taught him to sing, yodel, harmonize, and play the guitar. “I started playing piano when I was five, and singing harmony with my Dad's gospel quartet when I was eight. I have come from a long line of singers and musicians. I grew up listening to everything from classical to hillbilly music.”
It was a dream come true when David Bradley was invited to join the Grammy Award-winning and world-renowned western music group, the "Sons of the Pioneers," in 1988. While performing with this legendary group for five years, David became known as one of the greatest yodelers in the world today. As a member of the Pioneers, he sang lead and harmony vocals and played rhythm guitar.
David Bradley was a feature performer on stage in Branson, Missouri, for fifteen years in various theaters including the Ozark Jubilee, the Jim Stafford Show, and Country Tonite Theater. He joined the Flying W Wranglers in 2012 as Band Leader and performed with the group for eight years. He is currently a feature performer with the Bar D Wranglers in Durango, Colorado.
Through his work, David Bradley has been placed in the Smithsonian Institute, Western Music Hall of Fame, Singing Cowboy Hall of Fame, and the Western Swing Hall of Fame. David Bradley is an award-winning vocalist and yodeler. In 2012 he was given the honor of "Yodeler of the Year" from the Academy of Western Artists. David has also made numerous appearances on the Grand Ole Opry.
In 1996, David Bradley produced and co-starred with the legendary Roy Rogers in a film presentation entitled "Born to Yodel". In this presentation, David Bradley pays tribute to Roy Rogers, "The King of the Cowboys" ", who pioneered cowboy yodelling as we know it today. "Born to Yodel" is an instructional video that teaches you the fine art of yodelling.
